Rants, raves, the normal blog stuff.
Games
I make videogames for fun. Here are the ones I’ve thought good enough to share:
- Arm-E: A twist on the old Space Invaders idea. Save the astronauts from the UFOs!
- The Automataic Gardner: I got interested in Conway’s Game of Life one day, and this was the result. How many cells can you grow?
- Creepy Doll: A game about insanity, as inspired by the Jonathan Coulton song.
- Haiku: A (very quick) experiment in hyperminimal game design. Good if you like visual riddles.
- Breakout is a Stupid Game: The XKCD comic of the same name just really needed to be a game, and Kristy and I had an evening to spare. Here is the result.
- Attack of the Flying Spaghetti Monsters: Another riff on the Space Invaders idea, this time in Java instead of a weird homebrew hardware platform.
- Plowstar: An action-RPG concept I’ve been kicking around for a couple of years. Extreme alpha warning.
Portfolio
Because of the proprietary nature of much of my work, I’m not generally able to maintain a traditional portfolio page. However, I am occasionally able to post screenshots of work I’ve done professionally, which you will find below:
