Well, it finally happened, I got Wordpress. It’s actually pretty awesome these days, a far cry from what it used to be. I’m a weird guy and this is a weird blog, so I think it’s appropriate to start it off with a quote from a reddit thread that’s been sitting open in my browser for a few days:

My first reaction was of course disdain but the more I thought about it, the more I realized how boring so much of the world is, that it’s good to have The Weird walking around.

If you think about it, in a sense, guys like that are kind of like mice. One or two mice are cute but a thousand of them are a horror film.

So what you do is you start an intentional community with furries, Japanophile weirdos, paranoid right wing survivalists, anarchists, scientologists, marxist-leninists and trotskyites who don’t get along with the marxist-leninists, people who have read God and Man at Yale, young earth creationists, Satanists, Setians who don’t get along with the Satanists, snowmobiling enthusiasts, ham radio operators, Italians, Jews, people with very strong opinions on circumcision, militant feminists, hot lesbians, objectivists, butch lesbians, people who describe themselves as “agorists” and get annoyed that no one has any idea what the hell an agorist is, agronomists, fans of Slipknot, juggalos, and the kind of people who watch Democracy Now on public access TV.

And then you have a tolerable fucking community. Because at least people aren’t dead from the neck up.

I have always wanted to live in the land of the weird and the Internet doesn’t cut it.

Oh, all of the above, incidentally, polyamorist swingers who want to fuck me, even though I don’t want to fuck them, just so “awkward situations” become the norm.

That’s a country worth fighting for.

Not this suburban middle class subdivision 9 to 5 bullshit.

I think that about says it. It’s easy to get annoyed with people who think differently than you do, but when you do, remember the alternative and appreciate the insanity.
